AMEN BROTHER!!! Amen! It might be that I’m just bad at drawing backgrounds but I just takes sooo looong. And I’m never happy with the overall result. Parts of it maybe, but not the whole effect. But if it makes you feel any better I’ve admired your scenery in Finder’s Keepers. I’ve even tried to emulate it’s style (to little avail).
I’m right there with you with my own comic, and omg, I so hate backgrounds. I normally don’t care for cut and paste, but I’ve taken to nipping parts of scenery from a previous page or panel and reinserting if they’re happening in the same place for awhile. Cheating, perhaps, but works for me.
Keep up the splendid work, and thank you very much for sharing your creations.

You could always make all the characters go to prison.

The fact that I know you’d never actually resort to Dumbing it down is what keeps me coming here.
